Apparently my grand-dad isn't in a very good way at the moment, which is really worrying because he's getting on a bit now and lives quite far away from us.
He slipped on the stairs in his house and had a very small fall, but it shook him up a bit to think how much worse it could've been, so now he's talking about only using the downstairs of his house. I've suggested we get him a Stannah stairlift so I'm looking online to see how you go about getting one and how much they cost.
I think the best option would be for him to move to a bungalow or a ground floor flat nearer the rest of the family, then we could take it in turns to throughout the week to pop in on him. I'm going to visit him later this week, hopefully I can persuade him.
I like money, but I also have expensive taste and like to have nice things, so more often than not I don't have money in my pocket for very long!
I usually manage to be careful with things like food shopping. And I usually shop around for boring stuff like car insurance, premiums have risen by over 30% which is a bit crippling for the best of us, but I did save a bit on my last renewal, click here to see their rates.
But I'm becoming addicted to having the latest cool gadgets and cool-looking things in my flat. I love having people around and I love when they see the cool and unusual things I have around the place, but I think I'm probably spending a bit too much money on it all. I can't help it, it's addictive!

Me and my girlfriend are off on holiday this weekend to Italy. We are both so excited as it is our first holiday away together.
However, last weekend we spent sometime sorting all the bits and bobs we need to take – as you don’t need two sun creams or two toothpastes – and also we sorting some of the clothes we are going to take. (Don’t worry we won’t be sharing them!)
We went to my house first, and I got a couple of swimming shorts out, a couple of t-shirts, flip flops and that was it. I realised I needed a nice pair of evening trousers – so thought about a quick trip to the shops for some chinos.
However, my girlfriend got 7 bikinis out – one for everyday, 4 skirts, 2 pairs of jean shorts, 4 summer dresses and 5 pairs of shoes.
It was ridiculous, and when I asked why she needed so much she managed to give an answer for everything that she had. Well I need seven bikinis as ‘I never get to wear them so want to make the most of them’, ‘I need 5 pairs of shoes as 2 are for the day, 2 are for the evening’ – these are heels – ‘and one pair that I can walk in.’ Surely you should be able to walk in all of them!

I just don’t get it!!!

I have never understood people buying expensive designer suits off the peg. Why spend £3,000 on an Armani suit when you can have one hand made, specifically for you to your exact measurements out of your choice of fabric and lining?

Ok so if you have no idea about clothes, but you know you need to look sharp, then you can always ask your tailor? He wont send you back to the office at Rowan Dartington looking like Krusty the Clown. Even the most elegantly cut designer suits will never have the right fit for you, because its designed with a generic size in mind. Unless your the perfect male mannequin measurements, then go tailored. It will just look better.

Fila are one of those brands that you generally associate with chavs or middle aged men at bowling alleys. Which is why I was surprised to find this retro offering on Urban Outfitters. Looking like the kind retro ski-jumper you might have seen in the James Bond movie Live and Let Die it has lovely vintage feel to it.
Combine this with the fact the apparent upcoming trend at LFW was Chav Chic and we have something very much ‘in.’ I think it would look perfect dressed down with some denim skinnys and trainers.
